My name is Marla Jardine, and I’m an Island-woman, born and raised.  I feel so fortunate to live a purposeful life helping people in our west coast paradise. I am a Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer, passionate about the magic of NVC.

I was already blessed with a fulfilling career as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) when I discovered Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in 2005. Having helped clients in a variety of settings as an RPN, I immediately recognized the immense power of NVC’s simple and effective communication format to facilitate mental wellness.  Driven by the possibilities to help people in a different way, I dove into its study, becoming a Certified Trainer in 2010. It is enriching to share NVC in my work with individuals, couples, Executives, First Nations, public and private sectors, health agencies, and non-profit societies.  NVC is the platform on which I utilize my training in Psychiatric Nursing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing to create empathic connections and effective solutions.

I also facilitate workshops for Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and a variety of mental health/wellness topics.  So, if you have other ideas how I might help you or your teams, please let me know.  I’m happy to explore how I can help you bring peaceful, meaningful communication to your life.

Our team at MJardine Consulting is myself, an amazing administrator (Liz Steele), an out of this world IT wizard (Marky Herkel), a wise business consultant, and other meeting coordinators and NVC assistants that will change from time to time based on their own availability.  It takes a team, always.
